One Among the Crowd

Last night I decided to be proactive and fight for something I believe in. I decided to go down to the Beverly Hills Hilton and protest for the passing of Prop 8. Even though we were all individuals, we came together as a crowd to fight for something we all agree upon. I was one of many among a crowd of people holding signs and rainbow flags pinned to American flags. I was one among the chanters and the lovers who came together to fight for their right to be married. I was one among the people cheering when a multitude of cars honked in agreement as they passed. I will soon be one among the crowd who is able to marry the woman I love.
